Anthropology and/or Archaeology for a Non-Traditional Student

I would like to pursue either Anthropology and/or Archaeology, but I cannot go to a "top" school. I’m very much a non-traditional applicant in terms of grades, so I have less choices than some of the posters on here. I need some suggestions, maybe some personal advice towards programs.

My interests in Anthropology are mostly Archaeological and Cultural.

GPA: 3.1 (2.7 average Freshman Sophmore Year, Junior Year: 3.7, 3.4 Senior Year: 4.0)
ACT: 23 (9 Writing)
ECs: Bowling senior year, Vice President of Gay-Straight Alliance and Founding Member 2 Years. Also took a college writing class.
LOW: Only took two years of science, three years of math, and one year of Spanish.
CLASS RANK: 47/99
SCHOOL NOTE: Small school in rural-suburban Oregon outside of Eugene, mostly farm related classes. Only one AP Class (chemistry) which I did not take, and one honor class (English) which I was unable to take due to my low GPA. Most high-seeking students pay 10K or pass rigorous tests to attend school in the city.

I am taking the year off right now since I have no idea where to go and no means of tuition. I will get a Nursing Assistant license to help pay for school.

I am willing to go to school anywhere, but I would prefer a smaller or medium-sized school over a larger one (but please note them regardless). Since I will be receiving no financial aid and no help from my parents, I need an affordable school too, or at least one which scholarship opportunities for good college grades, clubs, and etc. Also, I am an atheist, so a secular school is a must.

Of the schools in my state, only Southern Oregon University and Eastern Oregon University are of any interest to me and would consider me (though it would not be an automatic admission). I would like to see what people on here thought of other schools with anthropology programs that I could get into.

I may choose to go to community college (I’d prefer not to), so please list transfer friendly schools if you know them as well, even if they are harder to get into.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

So your Sophomore-Senior years cummulative GPA is over 3.6?

How about your SAT/ACT results?

My freshman and Sophomore year I got a 2.7 average. Junior year I got a 3.5-ish average. Senior Year I got a 4.0 So Junior-Senior would be about a 3.6 average I guess.

My ACT sub scores were:
English: 26
Math: 18
Reading: 29
Science: 20
Writing: 9

I’m been going through some schools myself, and this is my current list (In no particular order):
Southern Oregon University
Eastern Oregon University
University of Wyoming
University of Montana

Of those, I like Wyoming and Montana better, and they have neat programs. Finances would be tight though. Still looking though.
