Who's lame enough to start rumors about US News Rankings? Like, wow, that's scandalous.HAHA

US News needs to ask schools to HONESTLY EXCLUDE EXPENDITURE ON MEDICAL RESEARCH when they report their data used for "financial resource". In this way, I would expect Penn and WashU to move down a bit.

1 LAC=Amherst

Sam Lee, why? Do you not see the amount of money a University spends on medical research as representing quality of the University or a reflection of its resources? Maybe you think that a university be ranked based on how it treats its little spoiled overweight undergraduates and how much $ it spends on their rooms and lunch. Maybe we should also take out how much $ it spends on engineering, physics, and science. Afterall universities are here to train authors, and philosophers, right?

I do know for a fact Maryland - College Park will move up the list ;)

Why do people put any stock into this list? IT DOES NOT MATTER WHERE THE HELL YOU GO AS LONG AS YOUR HAPPY! If you go to the #3 school instead of the #1 school you will not die. I know it's hard to believe but take my word for it people.

Don't be ridiculous. As we all know, if you don't go to a college in the top ten, you're obviously not a good person and don't deserve to be happy. Well, maybe a little happy. But not much.

lol columbia2007...the academic world will **** its pants if that happens.

WUSTL being ranked high isn't the sign of the apocalypse that u all are making it out to be

smh

no but WUSTL being ranked #1 just might be...I stand by my prediction

If WUSTL moves from #11 to #1 this year, the academic community will crap its pants.

I hope so! Then my dad would stop being so USNWR focused when it comes to colleges...my college list has been set before I was born, whatever they say! :p

im surprised it hasnt been leaked yet

you realize that the only people who care are the few 100 people who are on this website.

so which one of us (majority in the 16-22 year old range) is going to leak it.

i bet theres a barnes and noble who already released them (or maybe even a poster who works at B&N).

somebody posted these on a different messageboard. supposely taken from a bookstore in MD.

Penn at three and a three-way tie for seven...oh boy.

If I were at Dartmouth I'd be ready to burn down WUSTL, or at least the factory that makes its endless brochures.

Penn going up that would just suck. I mean its a good school and all but 3rd I don't think so.

How does Wisconsin keep falling every year? I don't get it, with a peer assessment of 4.2, which makes up 20% of it's rating I believe, how aren't you in the top 35?

But again, any ranking methodology that puts Yeshiva in the top 45 i'm not going to consider as a good way to rank colleges.

Note: These statements were made with the assumption that the poster was telling the truth about the rankings.

I don't really think this is true.....

^ agreed...at least skeptical
