Well, you can look at it like this. Two different posters on the other site had the same rankings. But one of them said it was from a Borders in Bethesda, and there isn't a Borders, then they changed their story to Barnes and Noble.

This is OBVIOUSLY FALSE otherwise the ties would be in alphabetical order, and in every case they are NOT IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER it's a CLUE! Come on guys!

except that this is not from the magazine. but i'm also inclined to wait until the actual rankings come out.

what is peer assessment??

The peer assessment is when schools rate other schools.

Not totally true, here's how US News does Peer Assessment:
U.S. News asks the president, provost, and dean of admissions at each school to rate the quality of the academic programs for schools in the same category, including their own. (Those unfamiliar with a particular school are asked to check a box labeled "Don't know.")
So it's actually the President, Provost, and Dean of Admissions rating schools similar in prestige to them. A lot believe that it sometimes is a no-name secretary being asked to rate a school they aren't familar with and give an incorrect rating, but that's not true. The surveys are done by people of high ranking and high education who are familar with the academic quality of their peers.

The U.S. News rankings are useless.
