How do you guys study? Are there any good books for this? At my school, the most AP's anyone ever takes is 5, so no one there can help me, but I'm hoping you guys can, as I am an AP n00b. Also, do you have any tips for SAT II studying? Will the equivalent AP be enough?

“Equivalent AP” for SAT II often doesn’t match the content completely…

As far as 6 AP classes… There are many tricks. Get yourself the top review books~LIBRARY, BORROW, OR PDF FILE IT! I never buy any of them but manage to get a copy somehow
Learn from those rather than the textbook and BS the busywork. (Doesn’t really help anyways and good study such as cramming for only the things you’ll be tested on will save time, and with good common sense you aren’t really cramming cramming).

I don’t suggest doing this in college, but it works in High School, I get to laugh at overachievers lol ;)

^My Library doesn’t have any AP books. Nor does my high school…[just textbooks, which I ironically already had, i.e Campbell and Reece for AP Bio]

But also, I totally agree on the busywork…

What APs have you taken before?
I made it into the Fine Arts Center for music, so I couldn’t fit in a lot of APs next year. I only have 4. :/

^I haven’t taken AP’s before, and I am doing 2 outside of school, but paid for by the school [online].

Ok. Good luck.
Our online school sucks!!! There’s only normal level classes…

Gosh dang “I couldn’t fit in a lot of APs next year. I only have 4. :/”
I’m only taking 2 next year.

Sorry hailbo. I’m just competing with myself, so I want to take as much as possible.
Typical CCer.

What made you decide it’s a good idea to take 6 APs after having never taken even one…? That probably wasn’t smart…

But it really depends on what the classes are…
AP Psych,
AP US Gov,
AP Euro,
AP Lang,
AP E Science, and
APUSH would be doable…

AP Calc,
AP Physics,
AP Chem,
APUSH,
AP Bio, and
AP Lit would be incredibly difficult…

The classes are:

AP Physics B
-I like the topic/subject, but I understand it is hard. At least it isn’t
Physics C…
**AP Computer Science **
-[My friend and I have made several programs, one of which is being pursued by a venture capitalist, so I think this might be easy]
AP Psychology
-Lol, I took a practice test without any prep and got a 3…I think this is doable
AP European History
-Already took a class in 7th Grade, got a practice 4, this is mostly a GPA boost+a chance for a 5
AP Stats
-Super easy at my school, and apparently a super easy test
AP US Government
-I like the topic + doesn’t seem too difficult [BTW I am a major history buff…]

Oh you’re only taking 2 hard ones, Physics and Euro. Definitely manageable.

Doable, just stay on top of the reading. Take some time off and relax, too.

^Yeah, I chill way too much right now…My steam account has logged like 1000 hours this semester alone…Also, I already took an AP Euro Class [Actually I took a Pre-AP one this year and an AP one in 7th Grade], so yeah, Physics is the only one that would actually hurt.

However, I like this sophomore schedule. It is deceiving, I can get AP practice and a high weighted GPA while still being able to get high scores on the exams. To elaborate on the deceiving part, I mean that no one in my school, even seniors, take 6 AP’s in one year, but I’ll be doing all of that while maintaining a decent [non-existent] social life.

That’s cool. I have 6 planned for junior and senior year each. Most of them should be fairly easy. I hope.

^Lol, good luck Secoja. A lot of the time, the workload is really different. For example, someone else might take 6 AP’s, but really legit ones, like AP Calc, APUSH, AP Physics C, AP Bio, AP Chem and AP Computer Science

You should be fine… None of those are supposed to be too difficult, with the exception of physics.

Damn, I’m jealous
I think you’ll do fine, just keep on top of things (especially physics…)
Good luck though :)

So would the following 5 APs would be fine for me?

AP Calc
AP Bio
AP Lit
AP Psych
AP Spanish…

I feel like 4/5 are legitly hard:(

^Lit and psych are easy… The other 3, not so much. Best of luck, heh.

@Eli
Idk about Lit, because my sister’s having trouble with it because of the teacher. It always depends on the teacher, not always the subject.
