<p>Actually, there is an advantage. When you apply Nov 1, the site will be very fast and reliable but if you apply on Nov 30, you'll be lucky if the site even loads.</p>
<p>Yeah, I've heard of people a couple years back who tried sending it in on the last minute of the last hour of the last day, only to find that the server crashed. Needless to say, they had a gap year. I turned mine in 3 days before the deadline (had it done for a bit already though) and the server was crashing every other hour already.</p>
