Any Brown Engineers to reveal some insight

Hi everyone,
I don’t know if its the uncertainty or the hot humid south texas weather. But lately ive been having these great worries about attending Brown.

I am really happy I got accepted, I am going into Biomedical engineering, even though I got into some of the top BME programs in the nations (JHU, Gtech, CWRU, Rice) I still want to attend Brown because I feel I will be happier.

However I’ve been worried alot about wether I am going to be succesfull as an Engieering student.

Here are some general things about me:
All A stundent (except for a high B in calculus AB, but I am satisfied with it because our teacher worked in Malaysia and holds us to East asian standards)
Taking Physics C and Chemistry AP
5’s on all my APs so far (even though the only math related one was Physics B which is useless)

I am worried, that despite my efforts I simply won’t succed as an engineer. I am willing to study, and hit the books the extra hours, visit office hours, go to tutoring. Whatever it takes.

I would like to hear from other students, hopefully Brown engineering students, about their stories, so I can gauge wether I will be able to succed at becoming an engineer.

You’ll be absolutely fine in Brown engineering. The great thing about programs such as the engineering program at Brown is that they’re much less competitive than programs at other schools - everyone at Brown (yes, even pre-meds) helps each other and wants their peers to succeed.

Just enjoy the end of your senior year and have a nice summer! This is not the time to worry. Worry once you’re in the middle of projects here at Brown.
