Any Cadets Know/See This Guy?

I ran across this picture on reddit.com… it looks legit and I assume it’s from this year’s commencement. Does anyone know who this now-Lieutenant is or see it take place?

we can't access that from the academy.

Ah shoot. Well it's an image of a graduating cadet chest-bumping President Bush. If you know of any accessible sites I'll put it up there.

it's real.

haha awesome :) was this kind of thing discouraged? i think i saw a lot of these-type things on the denver post website's article on the graduation

There's not much anyone can really do at that point...unless the secret service shoots him ;)

Bush seemed to enjoy it, he was getting into as well, striking poses with graduating cadets and stuff.

The picture was in our local newspaper. Out here in "small town" Pennsylvania.
The article did not mention it, however.

If I recall correctly Bush thought it was hysterical ... Not sure if Secret Service was laughing!

According to my paper it was Theodore Shiveley from Plano, Texas. There is also another picture of President Bush flexing with a new Lieutenant.

My son was one of the 1,016 graduates of the class of 2008. President Bush walked back and forth across the stage to shake hands with and pose with each and every one of the graduates. My son shook the president's hand and said "It is an honor to meet you sir, President Bush relplied "No son it is my honor to meet and shake your hand". My son asked if the president would mind waving to his family and the president put his arm around his shoulder and waved for an awesome picture that my son and his family will treasure for the rest of his life. It was an unforgetable experience for my son and all of his friends and family that were present.

Those behind DoD networks should be able to see this newspaper article. Not that you haven't already seen it in real life.

I thought it was very cool that he stayed for ALL of the grads. Last year, the speaker left after 100 or so.

Here are some more fun pictures of the president and graduation (have to scroll down a bit).

What the...? Upon landing, President Bush was received by a Colonel, two Generals, and... Max Weaver?! I know Weaver, how'd he wind up with that job?

Jealous. Great pictures though!

;)

Max was selected as a presidential scholar in high school.

I just spoke with him. Who knew? :)

Meeting the President, CINCNorad and CINCSpaceCom in the same day. Pretty big day for Max
