Any CAP student appeal the decision?

Heard anything back from them yet?

Yes, they rejected my appeal. I faxed in my letter on April 4th. Apparently my decision was made on the 14th, and I just found out this Friday by calling them. So, I don't think they tell you whether you're in or not unless your Status Check page changes.

It sucks because my school re-ranked the class on the 13th but I couldn't get it until the 19th... They even changed my class rank on the Status Check page and everything, ugh. But by then I had no idea that my appeal had already been rejected.

Sigh - I am afraid this will happen to my son too. He faxed his in on the 7th and called the 21st - they said they had not heard back from the appeal board on it yet...

This is cutting it close for the CAP acceptance and he will probably be shut out of any on campus housing at another school...

If you're considering CAP, I think all the satellite campuses are required to have housing available for CAP students. That's what I remember reading on the CAP site. But I hope your son's appeal is successful though. I was probably a little too optimistic about my chances, as evidenced when the receptionist said rather bluntly that there is simply no room for the summer and fall semesters...

Still haven't heard anything yet. Saw on another thread that an appeal was denied. I wish they would say either way so we cold just move on.

We went down to UTSA Mon. and it seemed like a big community college. Luckily, the visit eased my son's anxiety about the whole thing, so whatever happens, we're good with it. But we'd definitely like to move into the preperations phase of the the program.

And I echo the sentiments of lots of other folks who have commented on the dorms...nice.

SATDudesMama -
the campus is really modern and beautiful, which was surprising. i don't want to worry you but i believe university oaks and chaparral(definitely) are both full. if your son wants to live on campus his only option would be chisholm.. but i'm sure you saw that across the highway there are TONS of new apartments to choose from.

Appeal DENIED! Not surprisingly... Off to UTSA. Had to call to find out.

Anybody looking for a very sloppy, up all night, atheist video game playing slacker genius for a room mate in Chisolm? Somebody's gonna get him... :)
