any ccc transfers?

I am at a Ccc.. and I think I dashed my chances for berkeley. Im in club cal and the rep said that the berkeley english majors last year had between a 3.3 and 3.6 gpa. Totally easy to get.
But in my major prep (Intro to Eng Lit - from the beginning to 1800s) i just got my grade. a B. I was totally suprised since I got deep As the entire semester. But he mustve totally failed my final or something.
I am totally bummed. Am totally not going to apply back east anymore. This sucks ass. Especially since I applied as an english major. I am totally stressed and don't know what to do.

Is anyone else a CCC transfer? Do you think i still have a chance? I am in the honors transfer program if that makes a diff. And I am in Club cal. I was planning on only one B this semester, in history.... but this makes it potentially 2!!! (I haven't received the history grade yet). This sucks so bad and I am thinking of sticking at CCC another year to change majors or something. G Damn!
p.s. my gpa is around 3.5/3.6ish... if calculating the 2 B's in.

I was a fall '08 admit currently attending Cal. I transferred from a very small CCC that only had 2 Berkeley transfers from the past semester. I passed all my major prep courses with a A, but I got a C in an honors course and a B in another class!!!! o_O ... but I was a honors transfer student also. I was in the intercollegiate tennis team and I think that made up for those two grades. My gpa was similar to yours but my major is East Asian studies, which isnt a capped major, so its not as competitive... :P

Anyways, I think it really depends on how competitive your CCC is. If you went to mine, you would get in. :D Of course you still have a chance!

But what if the Major prep for UCB was only English 15A and Shakespeare, and I got a B (dang 89!!!) and an A in them? I wonder if they are hard about the B.
I also talked to the English Dept at berkeley. They personally suggested I take English 15B and both American literatures even tho they arent on assist, then that would count (once I got to Berkeley but not on Assist) for the whole prep program. Which is what I did. I have straight A's this semester in 19 units, except for that one teacher (89!!!!!). I even got an A in English 15B which is the class that I just gave up on because my teacher was really really strict and he gives the same lecture at UCLA and USC as he does at El Camino College (really GOOD teacher).
I ALSO am in the Honors Transfer Program. Apparently, it admits (tied with SMC) the most students to UCLA, which I hope means that it is a good Honors program. But i am so not interested in UCLA. I have a B in Economics (micro), and two C's in Econ (macro) and Statistics.
I was actually extra dumb for applying to English and don't know if it is too late to change it. I asked my counselor about Rhetoric and she said it was like communications. But now I find out that it focuses on writing useful pieces(without the sappy british literature!). That is what I want. Does anyone know any Rhet majors?
My school and sports, yeah... LA is ghetto so I dont know about sports.I am from the east coast, i grew up with crew and lax.
Maybe I have one thing going for me... Im married... and Im 24...so i am a return non traditional student thing.

PS EAST asian studies hella cool!!!!!

I just finsihed my first semester here at Cal and I'm also a transfer student. I'm an English major and I had a 3.5 GPA when I transferred, and I also had a B, though it was in the earlier English class. i wouldn't worry too much about the B, and I think you should apply to as many schools as you can; its my only regret from my app process.
