Any chance at all? (Sports Management Graduate Program)

Hey guys/gals, I have a couple questions for you. (Didn’t know where to post this…my first post  )

I have recently transferred to my local state college (California State University, Sacramento; 3.1 GPA) and I’m majoring in Economics, I will also be minoring in Computer science. First off i know the Sports Management program is very competitive at this college and others as well, will my application be denied/ quickly thrown out just for majoring in economics? I know there are BAs in Sports Management and they’ll probably have first priority, unfortunately the Sports Management BA is not offered at my college.

Also, I’m planning on doing the AFROTC program at the university I’m attending and hopefully go through with it all the way. I’m looking forward to a career in cost analysis or financial management in the Air Force and i was wondering would, this be a plus in the Application process or wouldn’t even matter?

Lets say i do go through the Air force way, on my way out should I be looking for experience/ a job in management within the sports field or an internship before applying to the Graduate Sports Management program?
