Any chance at Berkeley when I've been rejected from UCSD and UCLA?

UCLA received over 61,000 applications which is the most in the entire country I think…most ever for the school

I think you can’t really predict much for UCLA, UCSD, and UCB
I got accepted to UCLA, UCSD, UCD (ELC), and UCR (GAP) and other privates

It is said that UCLA likes to look at you just academically while UCB likes the well rounded student

Also, I’m a firm believer of the essays making your applications stand out

SD and LA have different grading system, so don’t lose hope. I got rejected from SD, too. Supposedly, it was my “practical school” but I guess my scores aren’t as competitive. I know people from last year who have scores lower than I do and have less extra activities; yet they got in SD. I’m very disappointed right now because I just got rejected from Irvine, also. I think my sucky essay really affected my chance going into a UC. Still hoping from Berkeley and Davis. Not hoping for much from Berkeley and not feeling so good about Davis, either now that Irvine has rejected me. What would be the chance of getting into Davis if you didn’t get in Irvine?

Agh… I am not having any luck with the UC system. I have been rejected from UCLA, UCD, UCSD, and waitlisted at UCSB. I got into SC… so I guess I should be happy. I know it is a competitive year, but I feel really disappointed. =/

Stats
GPA: 3.5

SAT II: 710, 740.

blah.

i have a friend who got into UCLA but rejected from UC Irwine! So, you definitely have a chance - they all evaluate differently

Rejected from UCLA, Waitlisted at UCSD, and Accepted to Cal
Hope this helps. A rejection from the others in no way guarantees rejection from all, at least that’s what my experience says.

Still remember that email that the admissions dean from UCLA sent to me like a week before the admission decisions came out saying that your application is “academically competitive”.

Rejection for Berkeley this morning (Shanghai time) is my first rejection too. (after being accepted into UCLA, UCSD and UIUC)
