Any chance at Penn?

<p>I have two summers of research (over 700 hours total) with the National Cancer Institute at N.I.H. and a 690 CR/720 M/770 WR (12 Essay) [2180] SAT score. I'm retaking the SAT and will most likely receive 2250+. I've got excellent ECs (see above) and great class rank. I'm a white male in Maryland.</p>

<p>Some other important ECs of mine:
Math team (9, 10) Captain (11)
Captain and Founder of School's Science Bowl Team (11, 12)
Senior Staff Writer of School Newspaper (9, 10) Editor (11, 12)
JV Track (10, 11) Varsity Track (12)</p>

<p>Do I have any chance of getting in? How much does my extensive research background help me?</p>

<p>Hmm... I think Penn requires 2 Sat II's as well? Other than that you have a shot, but then again you can never tell with Penn...</p>
