You consider your stats "abysmal"?

....

Only at College Confidential. :P

But, seriously. You're automatically in at UCD, in at USC, great chance at UCLA and UCB. Don't worry! :)

Well I'm not in state, so my chances decrease like a billion times. lol

imacrazyscientist:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)
UCSD: Match (out of state)
UCI/UCD: Safe Match (out of state)

I think you have a decent chance at all of them.

Slight reaches @ UCB/UCLA (obviously)

I think people underestimate the selectivity of the UC schools. I know someone who was accepted to stanford and yale but rejected at UCB.

What's your point? I know 5000 people who got into Berkley but got rejected from stanford and yale. Maybe that dude who got rejected from Berkley didnt take the application seriously and didnt submit an essay!

Huge stats, especially EC's. I'd say you're in at USC, Davis, San Diego and Irvine for sure. UCLA will probably take you as well, and Berkeley might not be able to overcome the out-of-state issue.

But don't get so down on yourself! Being out of state should mostly be balanced by your extensive and impressive EC's.

nyc - my point is that i often see people here saying UCB can be considered a "safety" or "match" but i think it is more selective than that, so i was just saying, as a general comment

your stats are far from abysmal the fact that not everyone has a 4.0 and a 2400 makes those stats amazing, your stats are great so i don't know what your trying to pull but if you dont have confident in your stats you won't get excepted anywhere you want to go. own your stats dont be ashamed

Yea... those are abysmal stats. You are not going to any UC... I think you may have a shot at that "crazy scientist" place in Pasadena.... :).

Good luck. :D

To tell the truth... all of them you have a good shot at it. UCB=Slight Reach.

I'm sorry, but this is what I HATE about CC... you have all these people with very good stats, but yet they continue to believe that that 2390 is not good enough...

Actually whats even worse is that the SAT isnt that important to make a fuss and retake a 2300+

hahaha u hav no chance hahahha lmao

major? why does everyone leave out the major?? if you're going for EECS Berkeley-reach

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach
USC: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCI/UCD: Safe Match

She is going Bio definitely (her passion).

Everyone has a chance.
