Send your ACT, forget the SAT. Also I found this from USC website…

“Are SAT Subject exams required?
We only require SAT Subject tests from freshman applicants who do not attend a regionally accredited high school (e.g., home school, some non-accredited parochial or community based programs, even some newer schools). These students must submit three SAT Subject exams, including one in mathematics, in addition to the SAT or ACT. For all other applicants, these exams are optional, but recommended. We find them helpful in evaluating applications for merit scholarships.”

Don’t send the 530, that looks horrible. USC is a bit of a reach, but don’t not apply if you want to go there.

Send in ACT score, not SAT or SAT II’s, write great essays, and keep up the hard work this semester. You definitely have a chance and should apply. Good luck!

Bump. I know this is an old thread, but with admissions a couple of days away, it would be great to have a bit more feedback for peace of mind TT___TT thank you!

I agree with what everyone else said, but I honestly don’t believe that SAT scores can make or break your application. They are simply just one of the many things that admissions looks over when reviewing your app! Plus, a 30 on the ACT is pretty good! Best of luck! And decisions were supposed to be sent out today so keep checking your mail box!

I think you are right in the running. You sent the ACT score, right? You have interesting EC’s too. USC is very holistic in their admissions and if you wrote interesting essays and have good recs, I think you have a great shot. You should know any day now- Good luck!

Yeah I took people’s advice (thank you SO much college confidential posters!!) and only sent my ACT scores. I took my ACT again in September and superscored, I have a 31. I hope USC superscored!!

Nothing in the mail today and haven’t heard anything from them besides something in February about more Financial Aid documents :(
