any EA acceptances?

Aleksmol, what do you mean $12.5k/year? Is that merit $? A scholarship or need based aid? In the acceptance materials they said the Global Citizen awards come out on April 1, although here some people have been getting them earlier. I still have hopes for that.

well it's 12k/year merit, adn then with finantial aid it adds up to 38k/year which is freaking sweet!!!

I don't get why some people are getting their merit money earlier than others. Some get it with the admissions package and some don't. I don't understand that at all.

Yeah, bugs me too. The one month of April is gonna be terrible to make such a big decision.

He won't be going there. He's not getting any more merit or additional aid. I called. They only met 68% of his need. Really horrible in my opinion. Another school has come up with 95% of his need and he just got an $18,000 scholarship award, plus an additional 2k need plus a 3k Perkins and subsidized Stafford from another school.

The cost of attendance for him at Goucher would be $7000 more per year than any of his other schools. Although my daughter likes it there veyr much, I do not feel it is worth an additional 28k or more over 4 years, it's certainly far from an elite school and maybe ranks 10 ahead of the other school that he got far better money from. He'll go where he is wanted.

I know I must sound bitter, and frankly I am.

yea screw this school, the only reason why I didnt get a scholarship is that they dont consider standardized test scores to be important, along with extracurrlicular activities. This school was the lowest on my list and I got scholarships by three of the other schols so far.

I got my acceptance to Goucher EA
I am just waiting on my Financial Aid information.

how were you notified of merit scholarships - was the amount included in the acceptance letter?

You're sweet. Thanks for the nice post! Good luck wherever you go! p.s. I think after reading here that we all kind of "screw" one another in terms of applying to so many colleges. If we all only had our kids apply to one or two, the colleges would appreciate each applicant, you know? Anyhow, GOOD LUCK! You deserve a great college experience! :)

To those who received merit scholaships - would you mind posting your stats? Thanks!
