<p>I don't hear the voices of international students who need FA in this forum, so I started this thread. I applied to Wesleyan under the Freeman Asian Scholars Program, and I just want to know who else has. Just give me a raise of hands... and the country you're from.</p>
<p>For me, I'm Korean. I don't know much about other countries, but the Korean pool will most likely be one of the toughest to survive in.</p>
<p>haha, im applying for Freeman scholarship too..I'm from Vietnam but I did my A level in Singapore.. I wonder when they announce their result for the first round. Anyone know?How long is it before the shortlisted candidates will have their interview?</p>
<p>I think we ought to know somewhere btw February and March, since those who pass the first round have to be interviewed. I heard 2 finalists will be picked from each country. Does anyone have an idea of the size of the Freeman scholarship applicant pool? I wonder how competitive it is.</p>
<p>I guess that depends on your country rite since you will only be competing with your fellow countrymen rather than ppl from other countries for those 2 slots:)</p>

<p>Generally, around 10 finalists from each country will be selected for interviews. The number varies, however. After the interview, usually 2 people from each country will be offered the scholarship, with another 2 alternates if the initial 2 people do not accept the scholarship.</p>
<p>the competition gets really tight once you meet all the finalists--around the end of february ;)</p>
<p>I was one of the 2 alternates last year (almost got it!)... feel free to send me a PM if you've got any questions, the memories are still fresh in my mind ;)</p>
