I will be patient, though of course I'm very excited.

Anyway, since you're here, I'd like to ask something to you, Eric.. did you receive your announcement via e-mail, phone or the offer letter sent to you?

Anyway, since you're here, I'd like to ask something to you, Eric.. did you receive your announcement via e-mail, phone or the offer letter sent to you?

I received my own package on the 28th of March through DHL.

Yeah, me too.... not sure about the exact day though, although I assume it's the same as Eric...

A Hong Kong finalist has received an acceptance from the scholarship 12 hours ago.

i guess kin yan was talking about me haha YES i am from hong kong and i just received the acceptance package this morning, through Fedex! the letter was dated on 23rd of march. right i really hadnt heard anything from Wesleyan until this morning the package just came and all of a sudden i was overridden by joy!

dont worry guys! u will get the news soon! : ) the package just needs time to travel and perhaps i got it a little bit earlier because hong kong was their second stop of their trip to asia?!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!

Wow!
Congrats domilylau!! :)

.....
I hope we'll meet in Wes!

Congratulations! Domilylau!

Does anyone know how long would Fedex take from US to the rest countries like Malaysia or Vietnam?

I am from Taiwan, people say usually it takes three days from US to here. If it is sent in turn according to their visit stops, Taiwan should be prior to Hong Kong cuz we were the first stop of Ms Terri and Ms. Alice.

I am so nervous now. If ALL the packages were sent on 3/23, I should receive one today(3/26) as Domilylau. If it takes three days, too, from US to Malaysia and Vietnam, the sending days might be different otherwise we would all get it today right?

Somebody helps! I am like a hysteric right now!

Oh congrats Domilylau !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you doing anything to celebrate? :-)

well, Hao-Hsuan Chang, don't freak out. you make me worried too hichic. It's just the post. So far noone from Vietnam's heard anything.
I feel like not going to school tomorrow and sit at home staring for that FedEx car.

Pray for best luck for us, pociteh, and you too, Chang :x

PS: Do you guys apply to any other uni in the US? or just Wesleyan Freeman Scholarship?

hehe call me domily : )

no worries! it isnt necessary that all posts were sent on 23rd! : ) and are you really sure that taiwan was ms. terri and ms. alice's first stop? because i rmb that when i went to the event page on wesleyan's site back in feb, there's information about cocktail reception in different countries and i rmb only south korea's one was held before the hong kong's one. : ) my interview was exactly on 23rd of feb! (perhaps just an coincidence)

SO NO WORRIES! pray for you guys!!! GOOD LUCK!

ahahah not going to celebrate in these few weeks because my alevels is starting tmr!!!!!!! ROAR!!!

Yeah! Best of luck for all of us who are still waiting for the announcement! :)

I applied to only 1 other uni in US, but it was a very prestigious school and the interview wasn't very good, so I kind of knew I'd be rejected. And that was right, I was rejected.

Hey sisi, I feel the same with you! Today I have 2 tests at school but I feel like I don't want to go to school and just wait for the FedEx guy all day! No no, but I'm going to go to school, actually. I will get in trouble if I don't go to school today. Haha.

I hope I'll see a package from Wes when I come back from school!

We've already talked, but congratulations again Domily!

And good luck to the rest of you, I hope to hear the good news soon. =)

PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE, I have to be patient......

I AM at school. But every break I go to computer classroom to check anything from E-mail to discussion board and call my grandmom staying at home.

Now, I feel like calling directly to Ms. Terri!!! Anybody wants to join me......

I wonder if it's possible for Eric to ask the decided scholars' list for us at Wesleyan Admission Office. Can you, Eric? Are you on campus?

Congratulations AGAIN, Domily!
I was interviewed on 2/26, Taiwan might be the third stop(after Korea and Hong Kong). But I don't think they would send out to each country on the day a month after the interview. Because there were poeple who had their interview on early March. If they still have to wait after April 1st, they are very likely to be ANXIOUS TO INSANE!! Right?
(I can't see why Hong Kong receive the package so soon......usually it takes three days from US to Taiwan, too, I hope that it is because Domily is so brilliant that they made their decision so easily and quickly......!)

Fedex I love you please come as soon as possible and bring good news to all of us! WE LOVE FEDEX!!! FEDEX LOVES US!!! THE PACKAGE LOVES US, TOO! (Don't worry "Sisi277", I am okay~)

Japan is handled a little differently, they have their interviews early and actually find out their results by March. For the rest of the countries I believe the packages are all sent out together.

Sorry Chang Hao-Hsuan, that list will not be released to the rest of us here until sometime next week or so.

I got my interview in early March, too.

Argh!!
I'm really anxious to hear something from Wes... I really (I mean REALLY - uh wait, did I say REALLY? haha) hope it's an acceptance, but if it's a rejection, it's still better than waiting for something obscure like this. I wish I could sleep until the decision hits my mailbox.

Sorry, I made a mistake, I was interviewed on February 26th, but beckycookie (a finalist from mainland China) had her interview on March 3rd.

Still thank you, Eric!

Has anyone heard or received anything recently? We, the finalists in Taiwan, didn't leave our E-mail to one another at the cocktail party so that I'm not able to know the situation.

Sisi277, it seems that Vietnam finalists are in touch with each other, if only you would tell me and Tania any news there, thanks a lot, and good luck to all of us!

I only know a finalist's e-mail address, but it seems that she doesn't check her e-mail regularly, so I don't send her an e-mail.

I haven't heard anything. No package, no e-mail, nothing. I have begun to let myself believe that I'm not accepted, though. This is because according to my 'little' research, finalists in my country are usually already notified by 29th March. If evidence later shows the contrary (that I'm accepted), it will be a nice surprise, but if it doesn't, well, I'm prepared.

But still, good luck to all of us again!

-Tania-

Hi all.
One of my fellows in Ho Chi Minh City, South of Vietnam received the package yesterday afternoon. Don't know who's the second one.

It's true that the packages were mailed by FedEx last Friday 23rd of March, and tomorrow it will be a week. So I suppose tomorrow will be the latest to receive them.

I'm sorry to pull the spirits down but my hope is fading away too :-(
Will tell you guys if there's any more news.

Ah well. Thanks for the news anyway Sisi277 :) Of course it's disappointing but well, I'm sure that we've had a great and valuable experience in applying.

Anyway, if you're not accepted at Wes, where will you go for your undergraduate studies?

As for me, most probably, I'll go to a local university to study either electrical engineering or computer science.

Hello!!!

Sorry to bring bad news again but a girl in Hanoi, North of VN received the package yesterday. So I think it's all over. Those 2 are not going to refuse the scholarships coz they have not been admitted to any better schools, so I guess bye bye Wesleyan.

But who knows you will be an alternate as well and what if the person refuses Wes? It happens a lot so I still wish you luck, Chang and Pociteh.

My own situation is not too bad, I'm admitted to a college in Pennsylvannia with full ride :-) I'm going to study Econs/ Sociology/ Intl Relations.

Whenever we are, just make the best out of every opportunity.
Best wishes!!!

I am glad to hear that you(Sisi277) are admitted to another college! Good luck, Sisi!

I am now studying hard for the university entrance exam in July. I'd like to apply to either Chinese medical department or Biology-related ones.(Here we apply for departments, not universities) Best wishes, Tania! We are in the top-lacal-university-achieving group!

I got a phone number of an finalist from our mutual acquaintance, and he is just the scholar and had received the package on Tuesday! Well, he had planned to study in US for years and he got a very nice SAT score (over 2000). But then his other best-choice colleges either refused him or put him on the waiting list, and now he is still waiting for the rest. I would like to be an alternate so much! But I guess the hope is little cos Wesleyan (he considered)put emphasis on SAT score rather than the interview or experiences(well, by his guess). I only did well on the Math part.
