I'm looking for a Fordham alternative near NYC in case I don't get in. Any one know of one with a good business program?

Thanks!

CUNY Baruch is an option. You can also try applying for NYU Stern though it is extremely selective.

I second that. Baruch has a solid accounting/finance program and for a fraction of the cost of NYU.

Fordham is a gorgeous school. I am currently a freshmen at Marist College, and one of my top choices, along with Marist, was Fordham. I was also worried I would not get into Fordham during the application process, so I applied to numerous colleges around NYC. I ended up being deferred from Fordham and in the meantime I sent in my early action admission to Marist College. Just like Fordham, Marist college was close to NYC and had a great business program. Marist offers endless opportunities academic wise and through clubs and activites. Applying to Marist was a great decision and I am so happy that I attend school here. The business school is great, with amazing professors. The class sizes at Marist are a comfortable size to get one on one attention which I was very interested in. College work is tough, so to have the one on one attention with your professor, makes the work a lot more bearable. Marist college is a great school to apply to along with Fordham since they are located both near the New York city area and have the connection with big firms located in the city for internships and jobs. I am sure you will do great at whatever school you end up at, but I would look into Marist if you are looking for a school with a great business program that is very similar to Fordham!
