Any insight as to my chances?

I'd like to end up at UCB, Caltech, or MIT for physics (this I am certain of) and I'd appreciate anything that might be helpful.

White/Caucasian
middle-class
tied with like 10-15 other kids for first in my class in a high school with a 40% poverty rate
(taken and aced every ap/honors class at my school, which is a joke anyway)

Taking an independent study in quantum mechanics sr year

Will have ~25-30 credits from University of Pittsburgh in math courses by the time I'm out of HS
(Calculus 1-3, Analysis 1, Theoretical 1-variable calculus, Linear algebra, Differential equations, 2nd course on dif-EQ, and a grad-school Linear algebra class)

SAT
800 math
710 reading
730 writing

Participated in some research w/ a somewhat prestigious physicist in the field of quantum information

Letter of recommendation from the director of the math department at Univ. of Pitt

Varsity tennis

Not a nerd xD

Horrible study habits, but I'm working on them

Anything else you want to know lol?

(thanks)

I think you will get into Berkeley but you’ll need to be able to afford the $50K/yr OOS tuition as there is no aid beyond the federal. MIT and Caltech are a crapshoot.
