I am applying from Mongolia, and transcript I’ll be sending is based on scale 100, so on my common app, can I fill out in my grades section my converted unweighted GPA? I am really having trouble with these grade rules, help mee
Don’t try to convert your grades. Fill them in with your actual grades. Your school will send an explanation of their grading structure. IF a university wants you to provide conversions they will ask for it, and tell you how to do it.
For planning purposes (ie, to see how your GPA might convert) search for online “grade conversion service” and you will find some conversion tools.
If your school reports grades on a 100 point scale, there is nothing to convert. The CA allows the option to report it this way. Unless a school tells you to convert, don’t.
You school will need to indicate what % nationally reach 80, 70, 60, 50, 40… and what percentage in your school reach these scores.
My school does not even provide gpa so my counsellor just told me not to fill in that section. I’ve only included the total graduating class size as it is the only required question
