yup they hinted it to me when i asked that "sorry but vvveryy few ppl got off the waitlist this year." btw my link still isnt there

Yesterday my link was still there (most people's link disappeared), and now mine is gone. It doesn't say a decision will be arriving in the mail or anything, it's just not there.

Any idea as to what this means? I wasn't home earlier and I couldn't check this morning to see whether it was there or not

my link is not there too

We all got the letter, i mean e-mail. Then, anyone got accepted?? I'm just curious. if there are, congrats! :)

i got a rejected e-mail....
what does the letter say ?

anyone accepted?

Rejected, hahaha...I feel good now that it's finally over. THough I do feel sad.
I still get to go to another great school :P

i still love me other school and yea i got the rejection e-mail

Rejected. Don't really care anymore.

rejected, i don't care either lol.

Did ANYONE get in on the [highest priority] waitlist? I heard they've accepted noone the past decade, except for this one year (2005?) where they accepted hundreds.

I know a couple people in my school that got off the waitlist this year. In-state though.

Haha I finally got rejected!! Not that I care though.. Lol.. :D

I'm sorry to hear about those of you who were ultimately rejected. I'm sure you were all qualified. Just not enough space for everyone. Best of luck to all of you.

I think it is deplorable how Michigan treated us applicants this year, and to be honest I think they had there accepted list probably back in Feb/March.

It's not just this year that Michigan has practiced this admissions cycle, they've been doing this for at least the past 3 years. It's a frustrating, long, strenuous waiting process, for a school that claims to have "rolling admissions".

Rolling admissions is a process designed to let a student hear their decision quickly, but when 1 out of every 3 students who apply have to wait until July to hear a "yes" or "no" answer, they're really not practicing that policy.

Michigan needs to start cutting down severely on the number of students they're offering a position on the wait list, when only 6% of those students are eventually admitted. They have no reason to get the hopes up of over 8,000 students, 3/4 of these students should have been told "no" earlier in the admissions cycle.

After observing numerous students and their admissions process with the university, I would tell people that if they apply early and get deferred, treat it as a rejection and move on with other schools. Very few who get deferred get in, and even less who get wait-listed get in.
