Any people with knowledge of how to fill the Common App as an Indian student?

Hey people,

I am an Indian who's been born & brought up in the same country. I graduated high school in May 2011 and am looking to join a US college from the Fall 2012 session. (Yes, there's a 1 year gap in there.)

I've already appeared for my SAT 1 (2280/2400), TOEFL (120/120) and SAT 2 (English Lit - 760/800, Math Level 2 - 790/800). Since I've already passed out from school, there's no question of those awkward projected scores and stuff like that. I have my fixed, final and actual scores with me.

Now, the Common App is due to go live in a week and I am going to start work on the Essays ASAP. I'm also reaching out to my school teachers and asking the ones who I had a good rapport with if they'll write a Letter of Recommendation for me. And whatever details in the form I can fill by myself, I'll fill them.

Now, what I need your help in is the stuff that could be confusing to a novice. I studied in a small town (although I've moved now) and no one there has any idea of SATs, Common App, US colleges and how you apply for them. Moreover, most of the Common App is online, which will be a big headache for my teachers since most of them aren't net savvy.

The stuff that could be confusing would be -

[]What in the Indian Education System is equivalent to a Mid-Year report? 11th std?
[]What is the Secondary School Supplement? 10th or 12th?
[]For which class do I put the International Supplement?
[]I studied in CBSE. Do I have to sign up for some Evaluation service (ex: World []Education Services, Education Credential Evaluators) which will convert my CBSE marksheets to US university accepted format?
[]I am in Mumbai right now and thinking of getting a counselor/specialist to do these formalities for me while I work on the essays and stuff. Any suggestions?
[li]Anything else any of you can think of that would help me fill the form?[/li][/ul]

Please guys. Do not hold back! Think of anything and everything that you feel could help me! I am desperately phobic of forms & documents and the highly specific way I'll have to fill the Common App scares me. :(

You probably don’t need a Mid Year Reprot

^This. Or Call the University for help

Mid Year Report you don’t need because all of your grades are set.
Secondary School Supplement is usually something written by your guidance counselor or advisor about you - how you fit in with other kids in your school as far as academics, extracurriculars, etc. So get in contact with whoever that is.
As far as testing, American universities only accept AP and IB (maybe A-levels too?) so you should call the college and ask them.
Make a list of the activities you’ve done in high school and your positions…that will help for the activities sheet on the Common App.
