^yup, wondering about the same thing since the bill is out for everyone already. Anyone got any ideas?

I called SBS today. They told me it should be there by tomorrow morning. If not call SBS up on tueday.

/topic.

@spacedog

What exactly is the reading called?

“Connected: The Surprising Power of Our Social Networks and How They Shape Our Lives”

From the Warren page it says it’s encouraged because one of the authors will be speaking at orientation

^Well for me personally, I would read it, but you obviously don’t have to if you don’t want to.

for one of my classes, it gives three edition of the book we need, all of them marked “O” for “optional”. Does that mean we can pick which edition of the book we want? Because the 6th edition is significantly cheaper than the 7th (by around 60 bucks)

If we have a single, are we allowed to bring fridges and microwaves for our own room or do we bring them for the suite itself that everyone uses? I’m getting kind of confused because they say you should contact roommates about who brings what, but I thought that was so you could decide who brings maybe a mini fridge for your own room for your roommates, not your whole suite. Can anyone clear this up? I don’t know if a mini fridge could really hold enough for 10 people lol

Does anyone know the salary for designers of The Guardian?

Yes you can bring your own microwave and mini fridge to put in your own room. They only tell you to contact your roommates/suitemates to avoid having two of the same appliances.

Will ERC triple rooms have 3 closets?

^They have two real closets built into the wall, and then the lofted bed gets a wooden wardrobe thing that’s pretty damn small

Regarding the Warren writing book “conected”-- I wish they hadn’t sent an e-mail asking us to buy and read the book. It could be waste of time and money considering that I am 3rd on the wait list for the writing class 10A

Are there wattage requirements for mini-fridges or anything?

Also, does this mean I pay both my last and current payments? Sorry for such obviosu questions, but I’m just confused as to why it would be separated like this.

i have the same Q as above^^^

@greenfield you’ll have to take the class next quarter if not this?

Speaking of wait lists, will they eventually open more spots for chem and math?

@clarkfobes Thanks for the reply. But if we have singles, hypothetically speaking we’d all be able to bring in minifridges (provided they follow the size requirements) for each of our own rooms right? Not that we’ll all need all of them but it’s just an example because it’s kind of confusing when they say bringing in the same appliance because some might be thinking that they’re referring to bringing in multiple fridges in one suite but in different rooms.

For classes like MMW1 that are required for ERC, will they be offered again next quarter if we didn’t get into them this quarter?

^No, they’ll just open more sections. Everyone will get in.

Does anyone know if the 90 unit minimum for declaring a double major include AP/IB credits or only from UCSD classes?

@spacedog: Yep. In my suite last year, each room had their own mini fridge. Some people like to share though so they put it in the common room outside.
