Dartmouth does not consider "double legacy" in the equation. They just simply determine that either you are a legacy or you are not. A student does not get an extra "boost" because both parents attended Dartmouth.

I got one!!! I think I just have good luck...

I applied early and was deferred, but my friend just got a likely letter. Awwwwkwarrrrrrd

^i got one too!!! to give all of you hope, i am NOT an athlete, i am NOT a URM, and I am NOT a legacy of any kind...i am actually an ORM :) so please, dont stress! it is possible to get in without all these factors. and i heard likely letters come out in two or three waves, so maybe you will be getting one later :) and also, only about 15% or less of the class get admitted through likely letters, which leaves 85 more percent!

good luck to everyone :)

I received one, too! Wow. So exciting...

Good luck everyone!

When did you guys submit your application?

I didn't read all the previous posts, so sorry if this is repetition, but does anyone know when they are sending out the next "waves"? I know I'm probably overstressing, but it's so hard not to do so, so I will just indulge myself in the stress.

I got a likely letter. I'm thrilled, honestly.

I'm an ORM, non-athlete, non-legacy.

i got a likely letter BUT i told my teacher (who then told everyone) i got accepted to dartmouth. considering my mid-term grades are the same as last year's, was i wrong to tell them i was accepted? They want copies of my acceptance letter...and i dont know if i should give it to them because i was not officially "accepted." oh well, i just had to tell my teacher who ADORES dartmouth. as of now, i am 92% sure i will go to dartmouth...the other 8% is the chance i have of getting into Yale and Princeton. I also applied to H, but compared to Dartmouth, H's focus on the undergrads pale in comparison.

Are we in the second wave by now? If that...where are you second-wavers located?

It seems that last year, they sent out LLs every week starting the second week of February.

I'm from South/Mid-South

Am I the only one on this board to not receive a likely? Jesus.

Any international applicant got a likely letter?

Anyone get an email about financial aid supplemental info. request?

^

i did. i got one 4 days before my likely letter came (which is about the time it takes for regular mail to reach my house from NH).

^ I also got the finaid email a few days before my likely letter came, and the financial people have been calling my house the past few days because they never got my IDOC stuff.

So do they send out the likely letters in the order they recieve the applications or in the order of your area in the US?

Hmmm... well I got the email two days ago, and the financial aid office called my cell phone during school today to ask me about stuff. I haven't gotten any likely letter yet :(
