<p>This thread began last spring with RD…wondering what the method of notification will be for ED I. </p>
<p>The bigger schools like Columbia or UPenn, with literally THOUSANDS of early app’s, have an online system of notification and a specific day and time when the info will be available. Going by last spring’s system, it could be snail mail, might be preceded by a phone call…could be before 12/15, could be after…</p>
<p>My son received snail mail acceptance of his ED application, but that was way back in 2006.</p>
<p>If anyone else is interested—my daughter emailed her admissions rep, who told her that the ED letters are being mailed today.</p>
<p>I applied Early Action, and got an e-mail today from the admissions person that said she really enjoyed reading my essay, reviewing my application, etc. I’m assuming everyone got this, but in any event, it sounds like they’re getting close.</p>
