Any regular decision acceptances yet?

Thank you so much for the info! Our d. auditioned in NY during the blizzard but didn't take a our so we've never seen anything. She did give 3 choices on studios. Anything is great. She just wanted to goto NYU!

Do you know the date of Sat in the Park so we can avoid the date? She doesn't have anyone to request rooming with so I guess in that case, do they just assign roommate?

This Saturday (4/8) is the Saturday at the Park event. There are school tours in the morning on weekdays especially for admitted students, if that might work for you. We're signed up for the 2:30 meeting and tour Friday. If you end up registering for that one, let me know!

The afternoon tours are open to everyone and not just accepted students, but we couldn't make the morning time slot since our flight doesn't get in until 1:45. We'll probably miss most of the meeting, but definitely want to take the tour since we've only been to NYU unofficially and haven't been inside (son auditioned in Chicago). Maybe we'll see you there!

This coming Sat. is the Sat. in the Square event but again, you must have the invite and be registered for that. This coming Sunday is Sunday in the Square for other schools at NYU so this weekend would be a zoo to go if not in on these events. You'll get better attention to go on another day unless you have the invite and are registered for these.

But on ANOTHER day, you can line up a Tisch information session that is not the same as the NYU one. You can also request to have an appt. to talk to a student in the studio you are interested in. Call Tisch to inquire and line up what you can in advance. Make sure to go to the bookstore and get something with a logo. That's the joy of sealing the college "decision" and making it "official"!

According to a facts and figures page on the NYU website, last year's figures were 170 waitlisted and 17-20 accepted. Over 10%... not too bad. That's Tisch overall, though -- not just drama. Good luck!

The previous post was a response to Benjygil's post #40 on previous page.

We're not going this weekend. Trying to go next weekend. Does anyone know when the summer orientation is?
