When/How does NYU let you know if your in the Tisch MT program?

They will notify via email, the specified date is April 1 but last year they finished a little earlier than that and the notifications went out a few days before the first.

I’m not sure if they still do this but in previous years, some students received invitations to a welcome event to take place early in April. These were usually received sometime in mid-March to allow for people to make travel arrangements. It isn’t an official acceptance but it does mean that you’re in. These were called the Saturday in the Square/Sunday in the Square events.

Your acceptance comes from nyu. Your studio placement later, by a week (at least, IIRC)

Last year all of Tisch students gathered together and then broke into studios for a meet and greet.

Has anyone out there received the cryptic letter Tisch has sent in the past inviting them to the welcome event for new students? I haven’t heard of this happening this year and wonder if they discontinued it?

Auditioned at Chicago Unifieds. Haven’t heard anything yet. Hope we hear soon!

So its March 29th and April 1st is a Sunday… will Tisch be notifing via email by Friday the 30th? We can only hope…

I heard april 1st is the date

Despite what the website has said all along… decisions are now visible in Albert.

Accccccceptteedddd

S#1 & S#2 both accepted. When do we hear about studio assignments?

Next week apparently

Just received email acceptance!

Congrats to all who are accepted into NYU tisch!!!

Son accepted!

I auditioned back in december, but my application status still says they have not received my audition. Is this normal?

D got into Tisch!

Congrats all! Do transfers find out later than the rest?

D Waitlisted at Tisch. She’s been taking her rejections in stride - but she’s upset about this one - really thought she had a fabulous audition. Can anyone weigh in on this - I know we will never really know why these decisions come down the way they do, but regarding NYU - we always knew that it was a stretch academically. She has a 4.1 gpa, but her ACT score is only a 26. We always assumed that if the academics were the issue that she’d just be rejected. So, the waitlist is confusing her - I have been telling her I still think the test score probably held her back from an acceptance, but she’s not buying it.

She’ll survive - she has some great options - I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this - it’s kind of a mystery to me how the 50% artistic and 50% academic thing works!
