I am happy with my current school (NYU Stern...) and I don't have that many problems....

...

except financial aid...
[quote]
NYU Financial Aid is pleased to offer you following aids:
Fall/Spring
Stern Scholarship $4500/$4500
Subsdized Stafford Loan $2500/$2500
Perkins Loan $2000/$2000
Unsubsdized Stafford Loan $2000/$2000
PLUS Loan $18,000/$18,000

for last year, I did not have to worry about my tuition money as my parents were filling gaps after NYU's tiny financial aid came in ($9,000 scholarship per year plus the maximum stafford and perkins I could take out)

But since my family is already spending a lot of money on my sister's education, I was thinking about trasferring.

Currently, I have 3.62/4.00 with Finance and Economics major (I know that my profile says philosophy, but major requirement for philosophy was too much that it could not fit with all the stern requirements)....
and I think I might be able to pull that up to 3.68~3.7ish range after this semester..
My high school GPA was 3.7UW/4.15W.
I had 32/36 on ACT, and 800,800,740 for SAT Subject tests.

I do have lots of community service hours and was in a leadership position for a semester. Also, I have 20hr/week part time job.

If I were to transfer to non-business school, I am kind of looking at Econ major line..

I am looking for any school that'd give me good amount of grants/scholarships so that paying for tuition would not burden my parents too much...

What are some of the schools that I should try to apply?

Thanks in advance.

P.S for title, that's -> that'd
P.S2 my family income for this year was around 60K and EFC was around $5,000.... I was wondering if this was enough to get any need-based aids(which nyu doesn't have... or gives out in increments of $100)
