Honestly, I’m just looking for some hope lol I currently have 3.1 gpa with 28 credits from DCC. I earned two Three A’s, four B’s and two C+'s (economics and biology are hard classes) in college. I submitted my application so it’s just currently being processed and since I’m not a science major, I thought my chances would be higher because I know Stony Brook is a competitive school for science majors. Applied to the Asian and Asian American Studies program to earn a degree in Teaching Korean, however, I’m quite scared of my chances of getting in…
Most discussions I have read have stated people getting in with a 3.4 or 3.5 and I’m afraid my 3.1 gpa won’t cut it. I could wait till the semester is over to pull up my gpa up a bit more but I would really prefer to be admitted into fall 2016 because it’s dreadful going to a community college that does not offer your intended major so you’re stuck with general education till you’re able to get out…
Again, just looking for a glimmer of hope. Please leave an answer or opinion! Also, I was wondering how many transfers are accepted and how it is done. Does a college accept a limited amount of transfers for each programs or is it for the the entire university semester?
