Any transfers here planning to study abroad?

Family guy? So i guess they did steal it. It is from the simpsons:)

its from the episode where they send homer to the island and he goes "save me jeebus"

yep. But my fav part is after that when he says i think " I dont even believe in jebus" hehe.

lol ok well i was thinking the family guy where the deacons of the catholic church are sitting around in a room and one goes "hey did you guys know on page 425 it says Jebus? It's supposed to say Jesus right?"

haha

yeah thats a funny one too.

OK so who went abroad and thrugh EAP, lets talk about application process.

I am applying for china-shanghai spring 08, but i feel weird being the only "white" girl and on top of that not even actually america, hell i am going to stand out. "scared"

I've been to China twice now, first to Beijing then to Xiamen in Fujian province. I am white, and yeah, I did stand out. But it's OK because you will meet enough other non-Asian foreigners there from every country you can think of that it makes you feel kind of like a special group. Actually, if you are going to Shanghai, you will see lots of foreigners everywhere you go.

On that note, I spent a long weekend in Shanghai and it feels kind of like any big city: it's modern, it's crowded, it has its bars, etc, but it lacks any sort of cultural authenticity. I'd really recommend going to Beijing instead if you want to see what "real" modern Chinese city is all about.
