Hehe you probably will get into Stanford with that high gpa! I'm an east asian studies and econ double major. If you decide to go to Berkeley where are you planning to live in Unit 3?

i got into ucla today!! 3.45 gpa from uci~~

i think they tell us that intercampus transfer is next to impossible just to scare us. i mean.. look at us.. we're living, breathing counter examples.

Yeah I know! I know at least 4 people from Davis that got into Berkeley!!! It bet they just tell us that so that there's more space available for CC transfers!

so it's possible to transfer from UC to UC

or CSu To UC?

did you guys transfer as juniors?

Hi everyone... I'm at UCI, and I applied to transfer to Cal. I got rejected, but I'm appealing. My stats aren't very good; I don't have a very high GPA, and I have way too many units to transfer, but I really want to go to Cal. Anyone else here been rejected and planning to appeal?

Yeah it's possible to transfer from a UC to a UC and from a CSU to a UC! So applyy! Yes and I am transferring as a junior. But all the people I know that got in have pretty good stats. The lowest GPA I have heard of is around a 3.4.. but that's to Cal! So yeah..

SDSU to UCSB
either after 1 year but probably after 2 years... is it possible?
if i keep a GPA 3.5+ ?
would UCSB look at my high school transcript and use it to determine my admittance? if so then im screwed!

what's a good sTat?

and does it matter of the difficulty of the classes?

UCSB won't look at your high school grades if you have a minimum of 60 transferrable units.

will they look at the college courses, thats what i mean.

UCSB won't look at your high school grades if you have a minimum of 60 transferrable units.

awesome thanks

Will They Look At The College Courses?

Vyan what do you mean? How else are they going to determine if you can transfer if they don't look at the college courses you take and your grades in them? When youapply as a transfer you declare a major so they will look at how prepared you are for that major before they admit you.

oh huh..that was a dumb question to ask then. heh heh. never thought about that

right now, i got admitted to cal poly pomona under landscape architect. i really want to get into architect.

so im thinking, are the chances higher just to switch majors or go to CC then transfer to architect? keep in mind, architect is an impacted major.

vyan,

I was reading this thread and saw that you are an architect major that wants to transfer to one of the UC's (UCLA, UCB, UCD, UCSD) am I correct? I just wanted to inform you that I do not believe that all the UC's offer an architecture program. In fact the only UC that I know that offers an architecture program is UC Berkeley. The other schools like UCLA, UCD, UCSD and the rest of the UC's...do not have any architect major from what I know. So even if you plan to transfer out...the only school that offers your major I believe is Berkeley. I do not know exactly...because I could be wrong. Talk to your counselor or research on the UC website.

Also on another note, you said you are going to Cal State Poly Pomona for architecture. Why would you want to transfer out? I heard that Cal State Poly Pomona and Poly San Luis Obispo have one of the best architecture programs. This is from what I have heard. Good Luck to you.

What is a UC to UC transfer? does it mean you transfer to another UC before you earn your bachelors degree or does it mean you transfer after you recieved your BA degree?

It usually means transferring before you receive your degree, usually to get into a different major at the other UC, or to get into a better program.
