<p>We are in CA and our son got a call on Friday, but they did not make contact until Monday and he is off waitlist and accepted the offer.</p>
<p>Our daughter was offered a spot off the waitlist yesterday and has accepted it. She got a telephone call from the admissions office and was given 24 hours to respond. She is very happy. Stats: ACT 31; AP Distinguished Scholar; 3.3 unweighted GPA at highly rigourous private school.</p>
<p>My son just got a call from the admissions office. He is accepted from the wait list. We are waiting from an email from financial aid office. Does anyone know if the wait listed students are eligible for any type of aid? He has until Monday to let them know. The financial aid office said we would receive an emailed offer by Monday as well. I thought I heard that wait listed students were not eligible for assistance. I guess we will find out.</p>
<p>S got a voice mail Friday afternoon from WF. I guess he will find out on Monday. This would be the third wait list he got an offer from. I wish he had these choices in the winter when he could take the time to compare and contrast the schools and financial packages.</p>

<p>S was called on Friday. He accepted the offer on Monday. ACT 32, Unweighted GPA 3.97, weighted 4.7, 5 APs.</p>
<p>Best of luck on the wait list, guys. I was wait listed at Vanderbilt and they ended up closing their wait list about two weeks before I headed off to Wake, so some wait lists are open for a very long time. Then again, the Tufts wait list closed after one week. This was all 2009.</p>

@CrosbysMom I know this is old but did you receive an offer of financial aid from Wake? Really interested to know the answer to this as every post eludes to no aid for waitlist.
Yes, could someone who was admitted off the wait list please let us know if financial aid is offered?
@CrosbysMom @shoremom22 - I don’t know for sure, but Wake doesn’t hand out much FA for students accepted early or regular decision. I would say it’s highly unlikely.
