My son is still waiting. He called them and they said that his app is under reveiw, and he should hear in 2 weeks. They told him that 2 weeks ago, too!!
I am just wondering if they lost his app or something. Their computer shows it as complete, and under review. It said that 2 weeks ago too. Anyone else apply early action and still waiting?

I submitted my application in early november and i still havn't heared back yet. If i dont hear anything by the first week of february i'm going to give them a call.

I still haven't heard anything either. I applied on November 30th and when I called they said that I would not hear anything until mid feb!

My S got his completed app with sats in by the second week of October. Still nothing. He called two weeks ago and they said his app is under review, but I doubt it is still under review two weeks later, and today they said the same thing. As long as he is not the only one, I feel better about it. The person who answered in admissions said that when you get it in doesn't matter in terms of when they review it.

i applied at the end of november and still have not heard. They most definetly do it by what you choose to major in. I think mine will take a while because i applied undecided, which i believe to be the most popular

I applied in early october as an Animal Science major and I know that is not a common major. I still did not hear-so explain that!

I did animal science too!

hmmm... i'm not sure why this happened but according to my gc uconn and other large state schools divide applications according to majors and then review... so maybe animal science was saved for last.. or something or then again....i could be completely wrong because my gc has lead me astray many a times

I hope you are right about them splitting the applications. That would let me sleep easier. What is gc?

Thanks, but I don't think that's it. My son applied for business and others have heard who applied for it.

Ah. you ruined my dream.lol:) Yeah well I guess you are right. Maybe they are just saving the best for last? Did you think about that?:)

EG-That must be it!!

lol.......

SAT
math: 570
Verba: 540

3.6/4.5 GPA

CT resident

currently taking AP/UCONN chemistry, AP stats, Marketing 2, AP geography

had many extracurriculars.... applied mid novmember for early action under business major

received my acceptance letter today to the ACES program

He is not alone. My son applied early October and also has not heard. Potential science major, excellent grades, high SAT's, great EC's, in-state, both parents are graduates. I am beginning to think about another safety school for my daughter - it will save me $70.

palermo, thanks. I really was wondering if they lost some information. So many that applied around the deadline heard very quickly. My S sent his info in early like yours, and we are still waiting.

i just got the mail and from that white modest box comes a slim enevlope from Uconn. Is this a good sign??? please can anyone tell me before i open it?

a small envelope can mean that you did not get into the main campus (STORRS) but you got into one of the other branches

or possibly deferred which is not a bad thing

its not small its 8x11 and slim...what does that mean??

when i got accepted i got a 8X11 envelope

so it means that you got in!!!!! congratz!
