Anybody else get this scholarship letter?

Does anyone know what this letter means thougH?
i haven't even been notified of my acceptance/rejection yet. does this mean that we are already accepted?

whoops sry
just saw the related posts

I'm a National Merit Finalist, but didn't get a letter...b/c I applied to Gallatin? (A sidetrack, but does anyone know if Gallatin students get more than the one-time $1000 for being NM finalists?)

I applied to CAS, and I got the Sunday in the Square invitation two or three days after the new yorkers on cc got theirs.

you know whats really annoying? i just got this scholarship letter today....but the deadline was yesterday.

call nyu admissions

i am a finalist and didn't receive a letter. should i be worried?

maybe it's because they are not my first-choice school as reported to NMSC. after receiving the sunday at the square invite and hearing that NYU may have merit awards up to $8000, should i change my top choice to NYU?

did you already list a first choice college? i think if you did its too late to change. the only way you can still change is if you had "undecided" as your first choice.

did you apply to cas? these seem to only be going to cas applicants

yes, i already listed a first-choice school. i found out that i can change schools before 4/19.
i did apply to cas.

Hi devonie,

I also listed another school as my first choice, but after reading your post and looking in my packet, it does say you can change before April 19. Does that mean we can change our first choice school after colleges have announced admissions decisions? That would be great, since if I don't get accepted at my NMSF first-choice school, I can change it to NYU or some other school I get accepted to. Do you know if this is the case?

lewisloftus:

i believe so! however, the "priority" date to declare a top-choice school was march 1st, so the chances of actually getting the award after changing your top-choice school are lowered, i would presume. i'm going to have to do it if i choose to attend nyu or northwestern, though.
