Whoever it was who is changing because of money, you have to do a FAFSA for 2009-2010 and then wait for UF to get it and then apply for summer aid, and you should get a pell grant and aid to cover the summer term that way. That’s what I’m doing. I wanted Fall too, but I can’t wait till May to hear about it (because of vacation plans) so I’m just going to go with Summer B and hope the pell grant covers it.

i did do my 2009-2010 FAFSA and am still waiting for an awards update. When I emailed the financial aid office a week ago they told me they weren’t finished in distributing the awards for summer. Considering I didn’t receive anything, I am assuming they haven’t finished distributing the awards.

@wildfire332 I only got a little part of Pell Grant for Summer B EVEN THOUGH I have a EFC of ZERO in both FAFSAs. I still can’t believe it, it covers like the half of need. I hope you get more than I got.

any1 hear anything?

i called yesterday just to checkup on it… still nothing and the lady said to wait after may 1st but keep checking your status on the website… hopefully it will change before may 1st because most universities tuition deposit are due on that day and i dont want to waste $200 dollars :/

I originally applied for Summer 2009, and then once I got accepted, I realized that I couldn’t afford it. I was granted a term change to Fall 2009 without any problems. I was notified like mid-April about my term change. They emailed my personally and then sent me a letter in the mail a few days later.

I payed the $200 for summer housing and was refunded $150 of it after my term change.

I hope they notify the rest of us at that time as well. Did you manage to get housing for the fall?

Whitney, did you live on or off campus for fall?

No, I lived on campus. I was accepted for Summer so I was going to have housing for fall regardless of if my term change was granted or not.

Hi guys

I was accepted to the Summer B term and requested a term change for the fall only two weeks ago. well i thought that i was going to receive a decision after may because i had requeted the change pretty late and i didn’t think they were going to accept it but, they recently did. so i think there is still a chance for the rest of you.

how where you notified barbie?

they send me an email that said they had accepted my request for the fall term. i was surprised that it was granted this quick so i went and check my status just to make sure it wasnt a mistake, and my status now say the fall term.

Congrats UFBARBIE! Atleast we have an idea that they’re looking at the requests now. Maybe all of us will get our term change notifications by this week. I’m suprised you called them only two weeks ago about it and they gave you a decision about it that quickly. I called them around february about it and they have told me to wait in until may 1.

thank you. i know, i was surprised also that they granted it so quickly. i even checked my status to make sure that it wasnt a mistake lol. but i think they do the request by order of serious reasons. my reason was because i couldnt afford it. good luck to the rest of you!

So UFBarbie, what exactly did the email say? Just that you got your term changed?

yeah. it said congradulations that your term request had been accepted

so now that your change was granted where are you going to live?

im going to live in the jennings dorm. since i was accepted in the summer, i had paid my housing deposit for both summer and fall. since now im only going to the fall, i canceled my housing contract for the summer and did will send me back $150 ($50 cancellation fee)

has anyone else received a term change? I’m hoping I get mine soon.

I hear you analiatyped, did you get accepted into spring or summer?
