a friend of mine told me about this site so here i am.

I applied to UMBC (u of maryland baltimore county) and they emailed me that the result will be in 3 weeks. I applied for EA, pre-pharm which is quite competitive i heard.

my GPA is 3.7 and SAT is 1750 (i know low...)
recommendation was excellent and essay was okay.
total AP classes are 6 final grade b~b+, exam scores 3~4.

It is my #1 choice and I have to go VCU if i dont make it here. VCU is a good school but i am not really interested in this school.

with that GPA you'll get in.. UMBC isn't really hard to get into.. I also did EA UMBC as safety but it has been three weeks but no results?.. but I Am sure you got in

I agree with paul. With a 3.7/4.0 gpa you're definitely in. I dont know how the new sat scores work but I dont think it should impede your chances at all.

UMBC is taking best of all scores - old and new. They aren't using the writing section yet.

Apparently they are mailing responses to Early Action on or by Dec 15

Its one of my safeties too - and your stats are similar to mine.

Its a great school. I went to bball camp there and really liked the campus and the dorms were pretty nice as dorms go - on the new side since they have transformed themselves from a commuter to a residential campus over the last 15 years.

dude my cousin goes there and there campus are one of the best.. if you get the erikson dorms then itz pretty much like heaven.. who has a freaking living room in their dorms??? so yeah they are nice

you should also try for virginia tech or university of maryland college park...are you instate or what?? you wilil qualify for virginia tech either in state or out of state but college park if your in state you have a pretty good chance if not your sat might be a little low

I heard results get mailed out end of this week (meaning yesterday or today - friday) and we should expect them either Saturday or early next week, depending on where you live.

anyone know when scholarship info is sent out for EA kids?
