I got accepted at IUB. I am from Pakistan! my decision arrived via email. I asked for aid so let's see what kinda package they come up for me! By the way does the financial aid only cover tuition fee or also the other expenses (food, books, residential fee,etc...)?

Hello Mike,

Somewhere in IUB's forums I read a thread considering the role SAT IIs play in admission. If you search the archives there, I'm sure you'll find it.
Basically, most of the people said something I am going to corroborate -
the SAT IIs can be helpful, especially when it comes to merit-based scholarships, but you can be admitted to IUB without taking those exams. So, if you feel confident about your skills, take the exams, and if you are satisfied with your scores, send them.

hey, can someone xplain what exactly is a transdiciplinary education? is it the university studies course? and is the integrated social science a transdiciplinary? just kinda blur here...

I thought you will be attending Washington & Lee University !

hey, yeah, i gave the deposit and all. but the fin aid sucks, and the more i think about it, i really dun wanna be a financial burden to my family and all...i mean, their retirement fund is not exactly meant for my undergrad ed yea know? so well, just exploring my options with local colleges, erm, international univs...and stuff...

How bout u?

hey ppl. Sorry bout bumping this post up...but er, i kinda need an xplanation bout transdiciplinary stuff. REad the catalogue and website couple of times, but still kinda confused. thankx!

I believe you can receive input from current IUB students. Go to IUB's forums on their website - you will find it useful :)

Vessy

Hey I got an email from IUB saying that they cannot consider my app in round 3 (got my school report and all late) so they will consider it in round 4.

So i will get the decision in - august??
will it even be possible for me to go if i get accepted?
and what about aid?

IUB sucks in EECS and Physics!

Why?.............. Some IUB students told me that its good, though tough.

I am an IUB student...if u wanna do social sciences or Biology then it is really good...otherwise it sucks !

Jeez the college I got full ride on has no good natural sciences. It s*ucks!
What about the life on campus- hectic or laid-back?

Social life is a myth if u are a hardworking science major who is battling the odds to survive and improve ur grades!

Campus Life here is wht u wanna make it. For the social sciences ppl it is really chilled out and relaxed....for us science ppl it is full of anxiety, stress and deadlines !

No college life enjoyment for Engg student? :(

LMAO.... JJ tu kya kar raha hai college confidential par ?? IUB ko badnaam karna band kar, you're no longer EECS now so CHILL :p .. or switch to ISS and chill even more.

guys IUB engineering is really tough, doesnt mean it's bad.

and let me introduce u to another friend who along me is trying to transfer out ! MERCURYSQUAD!

thank - u !

lol!

neva heard that one before !

Further,
you sound like such a jerk! I hope you don't get into any college!! :D hihi
