I am curious as to what classes you took thus far and how your experience has been as I am deciding if this route is worth doing. Furthermore, I would like to know precisely what must be done and what prerequisites must be fulfilled. I already know Math 104 and the two Econ classes must be taken, coupled with a high GPA (I think 3.6) to even be considered for the psuedotransfer, but regardless I’d like to know what you guys have done.

I hereby pronounce you, bumped and uberbumped. You may kiss the top of the topic listings.

remarries thread

Sigh. My advisor won't email me back either. Can no one answer this?

This was all I found. Are there any other requirement-courses I could get out of the way right now?

Call the Wharton advising dept......I'll bet there is a special advisor who handles the dualees as there is one special advisor who handles Law preps. I think if you e-mail or call W you will get some advice.

Dual Degree/Internal Transfer: Ms. Tiffany Fujioka 215-898-3541

tifujiok@wharton.upenn.edu right? I'll send an email.

My guess is she is the best resource for you will have her knowledge of Wharton and she will have handled this as a specialty. I guess you big concern for the moment is getting permission for the correct Stats course. She may help you with the Japanese interview question regarding proficiency....I'd ask.

I sent her an email asking what the optimal procedure would be. I let her know what my current schedule requests were and how Management and Stat would fit into the picture. I'll just see what she has to say when she replies (hopefully).

Good luck with her.....I think you are at the right source now. Perhaps she can then communicate with your SAS advisor who has not been that cooperative.

Thanks. I'll update when I get a reply... although I think right now my schedule is optimized whether or not I decide to go for dual degree, in any case. Still it would be nice to know what the Wharton requirements are so I could see how the two schools can cross paths.

I guess that is one issue.....which one trumps.

I would probably have to fit Stat into second semester.

Does SAS accept the Wharton course or do you make an appeal or what. Also....will you need permission to enroll in the Wharton Stats for they will give their own spaces so you will be enrolled after that need has been met.

Management was the only "Keep out, Wharton students only" course I've ran into so far. I think there is a limit as to how many Wharton classes you can take as a College student unless you apply for transfer unless I understand this wrong:

"Students in the College may use four out-of-College courses to count toward their elective requirements. Students who do dual degrees with Engineering, Nursing or Wharton may use six out-of-College courses towards the College free electives."

This quote only addresses electives when in fact it can apply to requirements. When I first took accounting I had to get a permission....it is not Wharton only but they serve their own first and until you get the dualee you have to get a release for input on the system.

Who do you ask for permission for stuff like this?

Elective requirements... I don't recall what these were. I just recall Writing req, Language req, two from sections 1 2 and 3, one from sections 4 5 and 6, and then one extra from either 4 5 or 6.

She will guide you.....if you are a dualee you can have an advisor in both schools....my permission came through the advisors and then to an office in Darth Vader....some scheduling/executive assistant who handed out the golden eggs......I got up early one day when I had no class to accomplish that the first time.....following the initial I have permission so no problem.

Tiff is amazing. She'll get you the right information.

If I may ask, what school are you in Hazmat?

*eep sorry that was for Hazmat. I know you are in Wharton, Jose :P

Wharton, sir.
