Did anyone else really love the Johns Hopkins supplement? I had lots of fun writing both of the essays, especially the first one about money in my pocket.

When I first saw the question (money in pocket) I was absolutely put off. I think it was becuase partly, my honest answer would've been, to stay home and sleep (something that I've been deprived of lately). And I didn't want to write that in my essay - so I avoided the question for a long time.

It ended up becoming the last essay that I had to write by the 1/1 deadline out of all my colleges. I shuddered at the topic when I got ready to type it out on micrsosft word.

But I had a BLAST writing the essay!!! I think it's one of the best essays I've written and my creative juices were flowing and I absolutely loved writing it.

I am not sure if I made an impression or not. But what I wrote was what I would truly do if I was in the situtation (Question 1). I wrote about how I would give back to my parents...I would take them places where they wanted to go, plan things for them to ultimately show how grateful I am of them. Yeah, sounds kind of fake, but it is truly what I feel and I love my parents (I am sure all of you do :)).

Obviously I elaborated more on what I would do...but that was the jist of it.

NoFX - when I first saw it, I just thought of several different things I could write, but what I ended up writing was completely different. My creative juices were definitely flowing as well; and I wrote in a style very different from how I usually write, but my friends that read it thought it was still alright. I hope it showed enough character.

solsek - I don't think I have enough money in my pocket to do that. ;)

The 1st essay was extremely hard to write -- I worked on it for about 2.5 months...and it turned out really well

The 2nd I loved it...I knew exactly what to write, and everything just flowed. Hope they keep the same topics for next year

1st one came out w/ the topic during a period 1 of a school day
2nd one was the worst was so cliche...

I struggled with the free day essay. But when its all said and done I think it turned out pretty well and I actually enjoyed the journey I took completing the essay. :)

did anyone use a credit card? lol

I didn't (mine is in my purse ;P), but I was wondering....

i never even addressed what type of medium the money was in O.o

I used an AmEx gold card

i said some change in my pocket...... wow how boring compared to your amex gold card corroborator!

i said i had a 100 dollars in ? medium...and when i asked my english teacher to read it she said i was being unrealistic...wow really got pwned =/ lol
edit: time to go back to live in my little box...

should we do what was done last year on this forum lol...talk about essay topics O.o

I didn't mention money at all in my essay :X

yer, i said i only had a foil wrapper in my pocket, so my day was all free!
