I was wondering if there were any pleasant surprises today in terms of scores for anyone else.

I pulled a 640 on the writing which was a shock because I remember going through the test and for a large amount of the writing questions that came up I would get panicky and say to myself in my mind "I have no effing clue what I'm doing, screw this I'm picking C". I expected an extremely low score, however I got lucky and it turned out to be decent.

Also were there any unpleasant surprises? For me it was math because I spent 3 hours a day (every day) for 2 weeks before the SAT and strictly practiced math and I thought I had it all figured out. Throughout the math sections I was calm and confident, recognizing the College Board's tricky traps and moving along smoothly, never doubting myself. Today to my dismay, my score had only went up 30 points since the March SAT. That was depressing lol.

So I am eager to know were there any lucky scores or unexpected scores from you guys?

My unexpected scores… Critical Reading (460) and writing (500)

i am extremely upset… I thought I’ve done wayyyyy better. I guess its better to guess than picking an answer you think its right if you aren’t 100% sure? lol
but as I expected 750 on my math >;)

Collegeboard was down the entire day today. I checked like 8 times but they were still doing “maintenance.” Thoroughly surprised by 790 on writing (but 10 on essay…). 750 on math but 700 on reading. This was my first time so I’m pretty satisfied, but should I retake it? (2240 is the total)

I actually did get quite lucky. I got a 9 on my essay, and that doesnt make sense. I thought the topic was rediculously hard and my second paragraph was COMPLETLY off topic. so go figure? I thought i got lower on my writing, and my critical reading was crap. 640.

Math, I thought i missed 3, but apparently i missed less questions than that. I got 770.

My essay… wow. I was used to having at least four pages for the AP English Language exam, so when I was done with my second page and had about three minutes left I had to somehow make my last paragraph into a conclusion. That was…interesting. Not to mention that I didn’t relate anything back to literature or get to address a counter arguement. I got a 690 overall on writing, which is a lot higher than I thought I would’ve gotten. I thought I did better on math… nope. Same exact score as last years! Ughhhh. My critical reading score went up to what I expected it to go to. So, overall I’m very happy and surprised.
