<p>My daughter was a NMF last year and never heard a peep from the GC or principal, except that she and the other five NMFs were given their certificates at the big senior awards night at the end of May, when there was something for everyone, like the award that most of the class got for having a weighted 3.0 GPA for at least one semester of high school. The NMF recognition was just one of many and definitely not one that any school official seemed to think was remotely special. In fact, it wasn't until I read this thread that I realized some schools do make a big fuss over it, so we never felt my D was neglected.</p>
