My school doesn't have much of anything (no clubs, no people, about one AP class that's not online, very few sports teams, very little money, etc), but I recently noticed how good our teachers are. We have an ex-nuclear engineer science teacher, ex-navy pilot (history and civics) with a master's in intelligence and other degrees, a great math teacher with a TON of varied degrees, an internationally renowned poet who now teaches English, and another author...I think it's pretty awesome. Anyone else have great, inspiring teachers?

our opera/ap macroeconomics teacher founded the magnet/humanities program in our school and has helped many seniors get into those ultra competitive schools, such as the ivy leagues and the higher tier UC schools.

What's weird is sometimes the most highly reputed teachers at my school really suck, whereas the ones that students hate are quite good. Like my English teacher -- he doesn't seem to care much about his students, but for whatever reason everyone loves him.
