So it says on the site that we should've received a postcard saying Maryland got our interest inventory for scholars by 3/24. I never got one so I called yesterday, no answer.. I assume they're closed today so my last day to call is tomorrow. My friend didn't get one either.

YES!! Me and about 5 others I asked didn't get it. No biggie. They said to have it post-marked by the 15th and I did that. I guess it does take more than 9 days to get back. I called yesterday, like you said no answer. I will call tomorrow, no big deal.

I acutally should have asked someone who turned it in a little earlier than i did but I asked everyone who turned it in around the same time. I know A LOT of people in scholars so i'll ask them tomorrow too but it won't make a difference after i ask UMD when i call

That's weird. I wouldn't be worried but it says on the website: If you do not receive the postcard by 3/24 then call the scholars office immediately. Call by 3/27 to get a deadline extension yada yada.

I know I turned it in though and I'm positive I addressed it correctly.

They probably just had something get in the way of them mailing the postcards by 3/24.

really terp they said if you call there will be a deadline extension. Don't worry about it. I am sure it is just slow mail. If we all call today there shoudln't be a problem.

that is quick. How much are they going to put into our essays? I mean they barely have been able to send back postcards and they will have divided all students by the 10th?

i just realized that i never got my confirmation postcard, either. i went to the website and it says:

"Students who contact us about missing postcards by March 27, 2006 will be given a deadline extension. Students who contact us after March 27, 2006 will be considered late respondents."

does that essentially mean that if i didn't call them by march 27 (obviously i didn't seeing how it's already march 30), i'm going to be considered a late respondent? because that sucks a big one. or is it common that people haven't been getting theirs?

i never got my confirmation thing either. actually i never got the interest inventory or packet about the scholars program at all. i had to go online to get info and print out the inventory...

I got into Business, Society and Economics! I didn't think I would get into it but I did. I found out the best way too. I was at UMD today and did all that good stuff like going to smith, seeing the presentation, and going on the scholars tour. At the end of the tour they wanted us to meet with our specific scholar groups that we were accepted to. Most didn't receive the answer to what program accepted them so they opened up the this big thick packet with tons of names and looked at mine and said I was in BSE. I later went back to make sure they weren't mistaken :D.

After comming home it was in the mail anyway.
