I got a handwritten post card today from an admissions officer saying he enjoyed reading my app and made specific reference to my essay. Did anyone get one of these? Is it equivalent to a likely letter?

I think it is a likely letter. Congratulation!

When did you send in your application? It's definitely a likely letter. You're in.

Congrats! When did you send in your application?

And what state do you live in?

Sent in my app mid-October. I'm from North Carolina.

HEY! I just got one of those today. It was from my regional dean and it said "Comflsomh, I really enjoyed reading your essay. Have a great semester!"

I suppose its good but I don't want to get too confident...

Congratulation, comflsomh! When did you send in your application?

I applied to the college scholars program so I sent it in Dec. 1. I should at least find out mid. feb. if I got into the scholars program, and I'm assuming they'll tell me if I've been accepted at the same time... does anyone know?

D just received a very nice postcard mentioning her academic accomplishments and how much they liked her essay. Really hard to say if it means anything. It can't be a bad sign though. Right?

Does anyone know if all the finalists for the Scholars program have been notified?

My daughter received her letter about the College Scholars on February 18, so I'm assuming they've all been sent--whether or not you're selected for the next round.
