I was told that the majority of FPFers generally go to it, so that made me feel like FPF CalSO has room for everyone in FPF. As a result, I decided that I would take my sweet time to determine whether (and how) I should go; I end up deciding I'll sign up after my French exams. Just a few minutes ago, I checked the status on CalSO and it says its full...

Anyone else not signed up?

I was...that's until I was discouraged from skipping the whole thing. It really is a BAD idea since incoming freshmen get to sign up to their classes at CalSO. And if you don't go, then you're on your own trying to figure out how to use TeleBears. Have you tried to find another opening??? Even if it's not for FPF students, you still get to sign up for classes. It's just that there are information sessions aimed at FPF stuff when you attend FPF CalSO. That's all.

FPF people sign up for classes by a form on their site that we mail/fax

Your classes are still in a building adjacent to Cal. So, I'm sure FPF'ers follow a different sign-up procedure as you mentioned. The drawback is that you are limited to the courses offered there. If you went to CalSO I'm sure a counselor would come up with a suitable schedule that doesn't leave you behind the rest of the students pursuing your intended major.

im in FPF. and i didnt even bother to sign up. my brother and his girlfriend both said that it really wasn't important at all. and we aren't missing anything.

plus, $190...is a lot of money...for two days....

mannn, i havent signed up yet, since i had all these finals, and i kinda assumed that it wouldnt get full that quickly, does this mean there's no chance to go anymore?

oh and this:
"Spring 2008 admits are not yet able to sign up for a program: we'll contact you in early September."

confused me. It was on the Calso site linked from the myberkeley account checklist. Where do you go to sign up for Calso?

Spring 2008 CalSO for non-FPF is in the Fall of 2007. Those dates will be posted later in the year.

so how do i sign up for FPF CalSO? the links from myberkeleyapp dont seem to lead me to anywhere with an application or status page or anything, just general info like dates and costs
