Should read Monkey Business: Swinging Through the Wall Street Jungle. You really need to know the type of work you will be doing. Behind the big salaries and the prestige, is the actual work expectations and environment you will face. This can be great for some and death to others--you just need to know what you are getting yourself into.

haha Monkey Business is nothing more than a highly exaggerated satirical novel. Do you really think top caliber students coming out of Ivy League schools actually behave like that?

great read nonetheless

I would recommend Liar’s Poker, Barbarians at the Gate, and Den of Thieves as well.

Well…considering the authors are the “top caliber Ivy students” and the stories are all of former top Ivy grads, I would have to say the answer is “Yes.”

Exactly, so they have absolutely no incentive whatsoever to make their books sell better!

I have no clue if it is a realistic representation of life in the finance industry, but Den of Thieves is an excellent book.
