<p>I got a letter in the mail saying I was a semi-finalist this past weekend (yay!) but I can't access the forms online, and I didn't get an email notification either, so no forms there. I tried emailing them yesterday because their office wasn't open, but the message cant' get through for some reason. </p>
<p>Anybody know where else I could get the forms?</p>

<p>MM2007 - Thanks. D did have the forms attached to her email. She was able to open several of them, but not the school report or the educator one. Were you able to open all of them? Our home computer suggests that they were corrupted in transmission, so it may just be a typical we-use-a-Mac problem.</p>
<p>For those of you who have the letter but not the email, the email (but not the letter, I believe) says that the forms will also be available through a special link on the website starting today. The link doesn't seem to be there yet, but I imagine they'll get it place soon. Keep checking...</p>

<p>the school report is a school profile type of form, it has to be completed by school official, so arrange for them to do it once you get the form available </p>
<p>the educator form asks for you to pick an educator who has influenced you (they get an award of some kind - noncash). You have to write in your own words why your educator deserves this honor in 75 words. </p>

<p>were we supposed to turn in forms this week? I thought it was all due the first week of January or so......panic time!</p>
<p>I'm pretty sad that I didn't get this. I thought I had it all to at least get through the first round, a massive amount of awards and EC's and a perfect GPA, but apparently it isn't enough. If you did get it, feel pretty good because I know there has to be a lot of qualified people who didn't get it! I was just kind of surprised that after getting deferred from Yale I couldn't get this...</p>
<p>Do they put a lot of consideration into the employment portion of this thing? That was the one area of the app I was lacking in, I only had 45 hours per week per summer of babysitting. It was for my family, so I don't think it really counted...</p>

I haven't been able to get on CC and so I didn't see your post. I hope I didn't cause you any panic. Nothing is due to Cola-Cola until January. My D just needed to find out what the forms were and to get copies of the school form and recommendation forms so that she could give them to the people who will be filling them out. Her school building closed Friday for three weeks because of construction -- major chaos. Thanks to your help and help from others, she was able to get what she needed in time.</p>
<p>The lines on the forms only take a few characters.
Anyone know if U can go over to the next line?

<p>I had trouble with the Educator of Distinction "dedication" part too...can't write the full 75 words...tried emailing the foundation but no reply after 1 week...I only had the forms from the website, though, b/c i never got the email (just a ltter), so were the attached ones any better?</p>
<p>also, if you open the form in wordpad or something like that, you can write the full amount, but you're changing the file type so i don't think it'll upload the same way...any good techies out there?</p>

<p>I tried to upload the Biographical Questionnaire today as a Word Document. However, the site spit a bunch of junk back at me and the file won't upload. Anybody else having this problem?</p>

I spoke with a CC rep a few minutes ago (Erica War <sp?>) and she said to just include the essays on a separate sheet of paper, so I'm assuming she meant for the hard copy of the application.<br>
I hadn't actually tried to upload anything yet, so I didn't ask about that...yeah...not that far along.

<p>I had trouble, too, uploading my docs. I called and they said for now, don't worry about it, just to get the app mailed in as soon as I can. Verify that this doesn't get fixed before Jan 12, but at least we know that they are aware there is a problem.</p>
<p>Thank you all for the help. My daughter's still having trouble with the technical stuff but it has been comforting to know that she is not alone on that.</p>
