accha people, do you have to send ECA certificates with the application? If so, then I have been into clasical music for four years and art for 4 years - will I just send the application I received from those institution? And certificates of debates and everything?

You do not need to send ECA certificates unless the colleges ask for it. I recommend not sending any certificates; rather send in a well organized resume, elaborating on your major activities. Don't bother too much about the EC's. Remember the 'elaborate on one of your activities question?' I think it is very important. Pick the EC you are most passionate about and show your enthusiasm through that short answer as much as you can, and if possible touch on that ECA in other parts of the application too.

People have advised me over and over again--it is depth and involvement the colleges admire not breadth. In other words, as much as it is possible try to "show" the colleges what you have done. Don't tell them "I have done this and that..." That's what some people with good stats mistakenly do.

Also when going through the final review of the application, make sure you read the essays and everything in the context of each other, so that you get a sense of how as a "whole" you are presenting yourself to the adcomms.

I believe with your scores and essays, you definitely should get into most of the colleges you have listed if you organize your application well.

I hope this helps!! Best of luck!

Thankyou so much BB012 :D

hey, on the "elaborate on ecas part", what ort of an elaboration are they looking for? explaining "how" I debate, or how I started debating, or what I learnt from debating, or a meaningful experience or show how dedicated I am to it (in 5 lines?)...pls someone give me a clue...
