I realize that it is a very slim chance for anyone who has a sub-3.0 GPA to be accepted. But we wouldn't want to discourage someone who does from applying, yes? Any suggestions for those who have a sub-3.0 GPA?

My suggestion would be to go to community college for a year and do quite well getting a GPA around 3.6 and applying then.

I just don’t think a sub 3.0 GPA would be likely for acceptance.

Go to UVa.

According to the 2008-2009 Common Data Set, only .18% of attending students in the latest class had a high school GPA of 2.5-2.99, and only ~6% had a high school GPA under 3.5
