Anyone getting random questions?

Is anyone getting random questions from the UCs like:
"Are you taking [blank] class?"
"What program is [blank] that you stated on your application?"
"Have you taken attempted classes at [blank] university/college?"

And then a little disclaimer saying to respond within 5 days or less.

I've gotten one and I know a few people who have as well, anyone know what this means, other than the UCs trying to check up on folks?

I got a checkup from cal asking about cooking classes I’m taking. I mentioned it on anther thread.

no, I haven’t gotten any email. Is this a good or bad thing?

I don’t think its necessarily good or bad. They’re just looking for clarification. Now if you lied and neglected to mention the 50 units you took at another cc or something, then it would be bad. As long as you were truthful on your application, I don’t think it’s anything to be worried about

I was actually NOT paranoid until all these “didja get questions?” threads started showing up… Now I know I’m either in like flynn or I’m toast. Neither UCLA, Cal, nor UCSB has sent a dang word since those emails back when saying: here’s the decision site, here’s your ID, set up an account, check back on decision day. At first glance, they must’ve either loved me or hated me.

Is anyone else in MY boat??? haha.

yeah except i got that alumni scholarship email from berkeley. thats it for me though

Same here, I haven’t heard anything other than the random question.

Do you guys have borderline stats? What are your GPAs? Most of us that have ECs or interesting pasts could have lots of questions asked of us. We should try to figure out what makes you guys of special interest or suspicious.

I mentioned 2 other colleges alot in my essay because my non profit worked with those colleges so much. So I got an email from UCLA asking if I had ever attempted classes at those universities. I answered honestly and bluntly.

And this afternoon I received my acceptance letter to UCSD so it’s not bad, it’s just for clarification.

Mines 3.74

4.0

10 char

I had an email from UCD asking me about the gap in my education between Summer 2007 and Summer 2008. i just explained to them that i was in high school…

i wish i was questioned sometimes. i feel like my application dropped of the face of the earth or something. either its absolutely perfect and they do not have any issues with it(unlikely) or it got lost somewhere(more likely).

So maybe what makes you guys suspicious is that you’re awesome and they wanted to double check.
